Avv. Prof. Carlo Rimini

 

Carlo Rimini was Born in 1966.

Since 1994 he is a member of the Milan Bar Association. Since 2008 he is admitted to the Italian Supreme Court.

He advises on a wide range of Family and Succession Law matters with a particular focus on international aspects of Family and Succession Law.

He is member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL).

He is Full Professor of Private Law at the University of Milan, Department of International, Legal, Historical and Political Studies and he is also Professor of Family Law at the University of Pavia. He is professor of Family Law at the Law School (School of Specialization for the Legal Professions) jointly managed by the University of Pavia and the University Bocconi of Milan.

As a professor, he has published more than sixty papers and publications including three monograph books edited by two prominent Italian publishers (the full list of publications is here). He has taken part as lecturer in numerous national and international conferences and speech (the full list of conference and speech is here). Mentioning only the international conferences, in June 2019 he was speaker at the Rijeka PSEFS Project Event, Personalized Solution in European Family and Succession Law, University of Rijeka; in November 2018 he was speaker at the Regensburg (Germany) Annual Conference of the European Association for Family and Succession Law (EFL); in September 2017 he was speaker at the Oviedo (Spain) Annual Conference of the European Association for Family and Succession Law (EFL); in November 2016 he was speaker at the Madrid (Spain) Conference managed by the International Academy of Family Lawyers about “Hot Topics in EU Family Law”; in March 2015 he chaired the panel about “Brussels IV Regulation (Succession Regulation) – Implications on Family Law” at the Seville (Spain) European Chapter Meeting of International Academy of Family Lawyer Seville.

He is member of the scientific committee of the ICALI Association (International Child Abduction Lawyers in Italy). He is member of the Advisory Board  of the PSEFS Project, Personalized Solution in European Family and Succession Law, co-founded by the Justice Program of the European Union (2014-2020). He is member of the scientific committee of the periodical “Familia” and member of the reviewer committee of the periodicals “Famiglia e diritto”, “Rivista di diritto civile” and “Contratto e impresa”.

Since 2009 he is member of the Association of Journalists. He is columnist for the daily newspaper “La Stampa” for which he writes articles in Family Law matters.
